This body of work represents an exploration into AI-generated art and the experiences encountered therein. It’s important to note that the resulting art is not an endpoint but rather a starting point for further play. For those familiar with my artist's statement on nostalgia and quiet play, this journey I’m on involves perception of time, blurring of painting and photosensitive techniques, and symbolic memory. Each iteration represents personal ontological maintenance.
In this pursuit, the dichotomy of AI-art I call “wheatgrass and beef tallow” emerges. This symbolizes the tensions of the artistic choices that lead to authenticity and artificiality.
The technologically deterministic speak of revolution. However, revolutionary ideas don’t stem exclusively from the outspoken and fringe, but from the holistic perspectives embracing the entirety of the human experience – from the bricoleurs of the world.
Amidst uncertainties, the importance of preserving humanity amidst technological advancements is my primary guiding principle. True character lies not in absolutes but in the betterment of our self-reflection, resilience, and beauty.
